Our Design
Every design begins with a single question: will this bag earn a spot in your daily routine? After that, each millimeter gets scrutinized. Our Community
ALPAKA began in late 2016 on Kickstarter with the 7ven Messenger, and thousands of backers turned one design into a worldwide movement. That movement now works like a living R&D lab. Your daily commute puts our zippers through their paces, your weekend hikes prove out our fabrics, and your honest feedback turns rough sketches into carry solutions that work from Melbourne trams to Andean trails. We share a belief in purposeful innovation and progress that respects the planet, and together we keep pushing what gear can be. Sustainability
For us, sustainability is the starting brief rather than an afterthought. Each ALPAKA product begins with one aim: to make your load lighter, and the planet's too. We turn post-consumer plastic into high-performance textiles, build gear sturdy enough to outlast passing trends, and choose components that can be fixed instead of thrown away, which reduces waste right at the source.
Product choices are only the beginning. As proud members of 1% for the Planet, we direct part of every sale to green nonprofits that look after the landscapes and shorelines our community loves to visit, most notably through our long-running partnership with the Surfrider Foundation. We also track our carbon footprint and work to reduce it steadily, encouraging suppliers toward cleaner processes and lower-impact shipping.
